Easy Oven Roasted Broccoli Recipe

I love roasting broccoli in the oven. It’s easy to do and the broccoli comes out great. This simple recipe will complement any meal with its nice crunchy texture. Roasting broccoli also brings out a great, nutty flavor. The best part is that you probably already have most of these ingredients in your kitchen.

 

Ingredients

 

2 heads of broccoli

2 tsp lemon juice

3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Sea salt and black pepper

Garlic powder

Italian Seasoning


 

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Coat the bottom of a baking dish with the olive oil. Wash the broccoli and cut it into florets, then transfer to the baking dish. Sprinkle the broccoli with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and top off with a couple pinches of Italian seasoning. Drizzle the lemon juice over the broccoli, then toss to coat evenly. Transfer the pan to the oven and cook for 15 minutes. When the broccoli is done, it should have a nice slightly charred appearance. If you want your broccoli to be more tender, return to the oven for another 5 - 10 minutes. I love to serve roasted broccoli with salmon and rice or quinoa.
